Dr Saad Al-Khalaf
Dr Saad al-Khalaf General psychiatrist consultant with extensive experience is located in Guildford. He also covers a portion of Hampshire and London. Dr Jennifer Laidlaw
Jennifer Laidlaw earned her MD from the University of British Columbia before completing an internship in Psychiatry. During her time in Toronto she was a fervent participant in medical education and has presented at international conferences and published on the topics of delirium screening as well as social media and professionalism. She spent the beginning of her career as the Head of Consultation Liaison (CL) Psychology at Surrey Memorial Hospital where she focused on building a thriving and highly collaborative CL service that provides psychiatric care to patients on surgical and medical wards, including the palliative care and oncology units. She also was awarded an Facilities Engagement grant to develop guidelines for management of vulnerable patients in hospitals.
She is also the provincial practice director for Psychiatry in BC Cancer, Clinical Associate professor at UBC and the past president of the BC Psychiatric Association. She is an assistant professor at Tufts University School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and adjunct faculty in the UM PM&R & Family Medicine residency programs. She has had a long-standing interest in research and education related to musculoskeletal disorders. She teaches Neuromuscular Medicine and Musculoskeletal Medicine to the Family Medicine Residents. She is also involved in ongoing research projects on the musculoskeletal education, electrodiagnostic medical and performing arts-medicine.
Dr. Pulkit Singh completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales prior to completing her Psychiatry residency at the University of British Columbia. She was awarded the Undergraduate Teaching Award and the Psychotherapy Award during her training to acknowledge her achievements in these areas. She has worked in various Psychiatry areas and has a special interest in Cardiac Psychiatry.
Dr. Nadeesha is a psychiatrist who treats adults at BC Cancer. She has a special interest in psychooncology and enjoys working with older patients. She has a long-standing passion in geriatric psychiatry. She has served as a consultant for the Geriatric Psychiatry Consult Liaison Service and the ECT service at Vancouver General Hospital. She is a mentor and teacher for medical students and residents.
Dr Theresa Lo
Dr Theresa Lo completed medical school and psychiatry training at the University of British Columbia. She has worked for the BC Cancer Agency and Surrey Mental Health. She has an extensive clinical practice that includes dialectical behaviour therapy and psychodynamic psychology. She is fluently able speak Cantonese.
Dr Karim trained at Guy’s King’s St Thomas’ and St George’s hospitals in London and is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. She is a member of the Specialist Register for the General Medical Council, and has been in psychiatry practice for more than 20 years. She is interested in psychiatry for children and adolescents.
Dr. Richford began her career as an RN, and then she went on to study medicine at Dalhousie. She earned her MD in 1996. She has since worked in many areas of Psychiatry including Psycho-oncology, Addiction Psychiatry and Consultation Liaison Psychiatry. She is currently a staff psychiatrist at Providence Health Care, Vancouver General Hospital and BC Cancer – Vancouver, as well as a Clinical Associate Professor at UBC. She is a former president of the British Columbia Psychiatric Association.

She graduated from ROSS UNIVERSITY / SCHOOL OF MEDICINE & VETERINARY MEDICINE. She has an excellent rating from patients. She is a board member of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is also a member of the Association of Physicians and iampsychiatry Surgeons of Ohio. She is a member of the Eighth Judicial District Court and Federal Sixth Circuit Court.
